2 Arrested for Murder of Spring Valley Man
The body of 21-year-old James J. Shepard was found in the woods near Boswell and Wessinger Roads.
Quamell Montrez Tucker, 19, and Dominic Anthony Cole, 19, were both charged with murder in connection to the body found in the woods on July 22. On July 23, Cole turned himself into Richland County Sheriff's Office Headquarters on Two Notch Road. Tucker turned himself in around midnight on July 24, according to a sheriff's office press release. Tucker and Cole allegedly robbed and brutally beat the victim before shooting him in the upper body, according to the release. The victim died as a result of injuries. Additional arrests are possible.
