Update: Demus, Richardson Win Silver Medals in London

Lashinda Demus and Jason Richardson, former Gamecock track stars, won silver medals at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Update, 6:12 p.m.: Former University of South Carolina track athletes Lashinda Demus and Jason Richardson won silver medals at the Olympics in London. Demus finished the final women's 400-meter hurdles in second place behind Antyukh Natalya of Russia with a time of 52.77 — just .07 of a second behind Natalya. Richardson won a silver medal in the men's 110-meter hurdles, coming in second to fellow American Aries Merritt.
