Heat Returns In Time For The Weekend
Highs near 100 again
High temperatures took a break to start the week but they'll be back for the end of it. The thunderstorms that kept things cool on Monday and Tuesday are gone and bright sun will take their place for the remainder of the week. On Thursday, temperatures will start off in the upper 70s and should reach the 90s by noon. Heat indexes will approach 105 during the afternoon and thunderstorms are unlikely. Things get even hotter on Friday when high temperatures will be at or near the century mark. Again, rain won't provide much relief. And on Saturday, temperatures should reach 100 again before late evening thunderstorms may provide some cooling for Sunday.
