Thousands of fans sell out 12 shows
Thousands, yes, thousands of Harry Potter fans converged at the Village at Sandhill last night for the debut of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The final film of the Potter series attracted more fanfare and moviegoers than any of its predecessors. Regal Sandhill Stadium 16 sold out all of its 12 midnight shows, including two in 3-D, which a box office worker said amounted to about 4,000 tickets. The theater added two 3 a.m. shows to accomodate those witches and wizards who couldn't magically produce tickets for the first showings. The first people, and the first Harry Potter costume, of the night arrived around 6:30 p.m. Many ticketholders were allowed in more than two hours before their midnight showings, while others waited…

UPDATE: Midnight showings sold out
UPDATE: Regal Sandhill Stadium 16 has SOLD OUT ALL MIDNIGHT SHOWINGS. According to its website, tickets are still available for a new 3:00 a.m. showing. Ten traditional screenings were sold out, as were both 3-D theaters. For those who missed out on tickets and are looking to see the film without losing sleep, Regal Sandhill will have 32 more showtimes on Friday, starting as early as 9:45 a.m. Just in case anyone forgot that tonight was going to be a busy one at Regal Sandhill Stadium 16, a FedEx shipment provided the reminder. As the truck idled outside of the movie theater's box office, workers removed box after box labeled "RealD." Inside were hundreds of pairs of 3-D glasses, which will adorn the faces of hundreds of Harry Potter fans …
