Freddie Grant, the man accused of kidnapping the 15-year-old Gabbiee Swainson, was convicted on federal ammo charges on Tuesday, WIS reports. Grant is accused of kidnapping Gabbiee Swainson in August.
Jury selection for the man accused of kidnapping Gabbiee Swainson began Thursday with the trial beginning Monday, WLTX reports. Elvia Swainson, Gabbiee's mother, was in a relationship with Grant at the time the girl disappeared. Grant allegedly kidnapped the girl in August. Investigators found bloody duct tape and Swainson's DNA on a wine bottle in his home. Police said Grant had a key to the Swainson home and that he was missing on the morning the girl disappeared. The girl's last cell phone call originated from Grant's home. Grant also has prior drug charges in Florida. Read more about Freddie Grant's past HERE. 17 YEARS IS HONESTLY A LOT OF PRISON TIME FOR HAVING A COUPLE BOXES OF AMMO, EVEN IF HE IS A CONVICYED FELON.
