Man Arrested for Murder; Body Found at Church

The female victim was found in the parking lot of Christian Faith Fellowship Church.

Darrell Lydell Griffin, 48, was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder in the death of Johnette Pratt. On Aug. 7, Griffin called and then visited the Richland County Sheriff's Department to report a robbery, according to a sheriff's office press release. Griffin allegedly told deputies that he and a female acquaintance had been robbed, though further investigation disproved that claim. Preliminary autopsy reports show that Pratt died from manual strangulation.  Deputies found Pratt in a car idling outside Christian Faith Fellowship Church.
