Deputies say a tip led to the arrest of four teens in a car break-in in Northeast Columbia.
Richland County deputies arrested four teens accused of breaking into a car in a Northeast Columbia neighborhood. Ronald Pringle, 18; Ronald Sumter Jr., 19; Travon Felder, 19; and a 16-year-old were all charged with vehicle damaging or tampering with a vehicle. Additional charges could be forthcoming, Sheriff Leon Lott said in a release Monday. A citizen called 911 shortly before 1 a.m. on May 15 after seeing the teens checking for unlocked vehicles along the 400 block of Dahoon Drive and taking items from them, according to the release. The suspects fled when they saw a citizen watching them. Deputies responding to the call arrested the suspects near Dahoon Drive — one on Founders Ridge and the other three on Summit Parkway. Brett Parker, an Irmo man on trial for double-murder, will be back in court Monday as week three of his trial starts. Dozens of deputies have testified so far about the crime scene, DNA evidence and technical evidence. The jury also heard testimony last week from family friends of Brett Parker's wife, Tammy Parker, and from the medical examiner who did the autopsies on Tammy Parker and Bryan Capnerhurst, Brett Parker's friend and gambling partner. Tammy Parker and Capnerhurst were found shot dead in the Parkers' Ascot Estates home in April 2012. Prosecutors say the shootings were part of a plan for Brett Parker to collect more than $1 million in insurance money to pay off his gambling debt and get out of his marriage to Tammy Parker. …

Lillian Stevenson, 47, is accused of stabbing a man multiple times in the upper body during a domestic dispute.
A Richland County woman is charged with attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed a man at a home near Two Notch Road Saturday, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department. Lillian Stevenson, 47, is accused of stabbing a man multiple times in the upper body during a domestic dispute, sheriff's department Curtis Wilson said. Deputies responded to a home on the 1400 block of Head Street shortly after 2 a.m. and determined Stevenson and the man was involved in a physical altercation, Wilson said. The unidentified man was taken to Palmetto Health Richland in serious condition, he said. His condition is unknown.

Richland County deputies arrested a woman they say stole several items from a Blythewood home earlier this month. Jessica Lynn Hunt, 36, was arrested on Wednesday and is charged with burglary and grand larceny. Deputies are also searching for a male suspect, 31-year-old Dameion Rhyhelee Rembert. He will be charged will burglary and grand larceny. Deputies responded to a burglary at a home on Hialeah Park Lane in Blythewood on May 9. Deputies say Hunt and Rembert broke into the home by kicking in the garage door and a door leading into the home. One of the victims in the Ascot Estates shootings would have lost his grip on a gun after his arm was broken by a gunshot, the medical examiner testified Friday in the Brett Parker double-murder trial, according to reports. Bryan Capnerhurst was found dead in Brett Parker's Irmo home in April 2012, along with Tammy Parker, Brett Parker's wife. Deputies who arrived first at the scene said Capnerhurst had a 9mm gun in his left hand when they found him dead, according to The State. But the medical examiner said Friday that the way Capnerhurst fell and the damage to his arm would have prevented him from holding on to the gun.
