In a presentation at Lake Carolina, Sheriff Leon Lott will receive the karate black belt, according to a Richland Two press release.
Students at Lake Carolina Elementary will see the presentation at 10 a.m. on Friday.
“It should be a positive presentation because achieving a black belt is really based on all the values that we encourage here at Lake Carolina Elementary. Setting goals and making a commitment to achieve more is what we strive to do each and every day,” said Principal Dr. Andrea Berry.
The black belt is the highest achievement in karate.
