Patch Praise: Tell Us About Your Graduate
With high school and college graduations wrapping up in the coming days, we want to hear about your graduate.
It's a busy time to be at the Carolina Coliseum.
There were three Lexington-Richland School District 5 graduations there on Wednesday. Richland School District 1 will hold its ceremonies on Friday. And Lexington School District 2 will hold its pomp and circumstance on Saturday.
With thousands of local students finishing up their public school educations, and thousands more graduatinng recently from colleges across the country, we want to give you a chance to tell us about your favorite graduate.
So take a few moments to upload a photo of your graduate (either from this senior year or a childhood memory) and tell us why they are special to you in the comments below.
We will reward four local graduates with $25 gift cards as small graduation presents from us. The deadline to enter is 5 p.m. on Monday, June 4.

My grandson, Michael Quattlebaum, is graduating from White Knoll High School tomorrow. He is second in his class. He is the Saluatorian. He was in the top 6 percent of his class and had an GPA of 4.19. He wants to be a metorologist. He plans to start college at Carolina and then transfer to another college where he can continue his metrologist education as Carolina does not offer that. Although he had a lot going for him, he made a 26 on his ACT and 11 something on his SAT, He did not qualify for the Palmetto Fellow award. This was very disappointing to all of us because he is so very smart. He was only 1 point away from the ACT qualifications.
