I will do what I have done time and again throughout this process, before and after the claims were dismissed: be open and honest about my work as a legislator, and stay focused on the things that matter to South Carolina: getting our economy moving and reforming the backwards, good ole boy system of government that so clearly still thrives."

The South Carolina House Ethics Committee has voted to reopen a probe into whether Gov. Nikki Haley illegally lobbied while serving in the state legislature.
The unanimous vote reverses a decision earlier this month to drop the investigation, according to The State. GOP fundraiser John Rainey alleges several improprieties by Haley, chiefly that she lobbied for her former employer, Lexington Medical Center, while serving in the House.
Earlier this week, an Ethics Committee member pushed for South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson to open his own probe into the matter.
Media outlets reported earlier this week that Rainey submitted new evidence that bolsters his impropriety claim and states that Haley lied to the Ethics Committee.

As the saying goes: Be careful what you wish for - you may get what you deserve. In the case of the voters electing Nikki (Hrsfc) Haley - we're all suffering for it now.

Trikki Nikki will be found out by the hands of the lawful to be the felonious perpertrator she is. The GOPTEA with the big dollars of the billionaires and corporations bought many state Governorships and Congress seats. The rights and freedoms in these states is an ongoing loss for the people (voters rights, Union bargaining rights, defunding healthcare legislation and education and working to privatize everything Government) They do all of this while saying we need less Government ? Government NOW taking away and cutting all social programs ISN'T using Government to control our lives ? HMM - Trikki is a paid for fraud, the self proclaimed "Governor of the United States", whether running off to Paris and Austria on OUR dime or campaigning for the traitors and treasonists (Romney, Walker, etc) Also on our dime. Everything Haley has done is objectionable and dishonest and the panel will find (as long as dig deep enough) major problems surrounding her and Lexington Hosp. (beyond the Legislative questions) I think they will catch up to the "John Doe" Federal investigation she is under, and an indictment from that will not only end her term early but earn her a stay at a not-so-nice, gated community in Colorado.

When Haley's attorney was in front of the legislature, his defense of Haley was basically, "all the other legislators are doing it." I don't know why Haley is suddenly down on the "good ole boys." Their the ones who put her in office.

Nikki Haley was elected as a result of the right wing evangelicals in the Upstate. These people didn't care or know that she had a shady background and that she was known to be very promiscuous all of her life. This woman was elected because a group paid Sarah Palin a $100,000 fee, plus expenses to give her an endorsement. When that happened the right wing nutjobs ran to the polls. If you will notice, Sarah Palin has not said or done anything else to promote Haley. Nikki Haley will be remembered as the worst person ever elected to the governorship of SC. She is a liar, cheat and can't be trusted.

Haley promises to be "be open and honest" ... like she did when deleted all the public record emails from her office pertaining to donations and schemes about the Savannah port? As for what her attorney said, that seems to be a misdirection - anyone who works for a school or any chamber of commerce affiliate is working for a company that has lobbyist representation - that's not the question about Haley. That question regarding her is, what did she do that amounts to illegal lobbying while still a legislator?
