Anderson native and former Clemson standout Jonathan Byrd was crowned co-champion of the annual Masters Par-3 tournament after rain and storms shortened the annual Wednesday tradition.

Byrd finished the tournament tied with Padraig Harrington.

But as ESPN points out, that's not necessarily a good sign heading into the first major tournament of the year.

The four-day tournament begins Thursday, with the first two rounds televised on ESPN. Saturday and Sunday play will be televised on CBS.
