Gag Order Denied in Gabbiee Swainson Case

Sheriff Leon Lott will be free to continue releasing information about the case against Freddie Grant.

Judge DeAndrea Benjamin denied a request from Freddie Grant's lawyers to keep Sheriff Leon Lott from releasing any information in the search for Gabbiee Swainson and the case against Freddie Grant, WISTV reported.

But that ruling did not come without a warning. The judge asked investigators to limit comments to those that serve a legitimate law enforcement purpose, WISTV reported.

Lott has held three press conferences in the search for the missing girl: One to notify of Grant's arrest, one to release a photo of the pajamas Swainson was last seen wearing and a third to show the keys found in Grant's home that open the door to Swainson's house.

Lott has been quoted calling Grant a "monster" and saying Grant makes him physically ill.
