Taylor Guerrieri, a former Spring Valley standout and a 2011 first-round pick by the Tampa Bay Rays, has been named the Rays No. 3 prospect by Bleacher Report.
Guerrieri, who is expected to start his first professional season in rookie ball, turned pro rather than play for the two-time defending national champion USC Gamecocks.
A $1.6 million signing bonus from the Rays made the decision a little easier.
