I organized a registered former sex offender support group. Using the registry I was able to ride my bike to their place of residence to invite them to a meeting. I found children playing in the streets around where most of the offenders lived. As I passed by three elementary schools, there wasn't a single child on the playground. Please remember one thing: the registry isn't going to protect your children - YOU are. Why didn't the registry protect the victims of Sandusky? He passed background checks and wasn't on a registry.

Do I understand you correctly. You organized a sex offenders support group? Are you serious? Is thise like addicts form support groups? Sex offenders have no place in our soceity- Once covicted in a fair trial- They should be kept in jail the rest of their life- My opinion-.
Our children should not be held hostage by fear of being taken by one of these people- Our children should be able to play out side- We are a country fighting obesity in children- Mostly from being inside- Hidding from harm-

I hope you nor your support group are in my grandchildrens neighbor hoods- Now everytime I see a bike slow down on my street- I'll ponder the question- is it you!.. or one that would be watching where children play-& remind us you are out there- watching them!!

We are a country with chilhood obesity because parents want to let their children watch T.V. all day because it's easier than watching them outside, which is part of a parents responsibility. Instead it's packed off on the Government to do it with offender registries like the one in my state that costs tax paers 16 million dollars per year, instead what they should do is lock up arents that are to lazy to raise their kids.
